Age– 7-11 year, 12-14 year, 15-18 year

There is a maximum of 9 children per group.

From setting the table, to ordering at a restaurant, to eating peas with a fork, this workshop will equip students with the confidence and savvy to dine in both the casual and formal settings-at home and at restaurants, as a host and as a guest. The workshop culminates with a meal and the opportunity to put dining skills to use.

Topics include

  • Mealtime manners (casual vs. formal)
  • Setting the table
  • Managing utensils
  • Eating tricky foods like peas, spaghetti, etc.
  • Making a toast
  • Table talk topics
  • Ordering at a restaurant
  • Eating “finger food” with a fork and knife
  • Host/ guest behavior 
  • American vs. Continental dining style
